About Us

Aralu Grameena Mattu Nagarabhivruddhi Samsthe

Our organization is committed to offering facilities and knowledge-based learning for mentally challenged children, with our primary objective being the enhancement of the quality of their lives.

Aralu Rural and Urban Development Society, registered under the Society Registration Act 1960 on 17/12/2014, initiated the Aralu Special School for mentally challenged children in Lakshmeshwar in 2015-16, with official department permission. Beginning with 12 special children, the institute has since expanded its services to cater to 34 mentally challenged children and adults, providing free education and vocational training to empower differently-abled individuals and senior citizens in the community.

DD Distribution by Dharmasthala Samsthe

Aralu Special School, Lakshmeshwar, proudly organized a DD Distribution Program in collaboration with Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP). The program was conducted with the noble aim of supporting children with intellectual disabilities and strengthening inclusive education in rural areas. During the event, representatives from SKDRDP visited the school and distributed essential materials to the students. The distributed items were intended to support the educational, personal, and daily living needs of the children, ensuring their comfort and development. Education Department Team Visit to Aralu Special School

Purple Fest Participation by Aralu Special School

Aralu Special School proudly participated in Purple Fest organized by Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Davangere. The event was conducted to promote the talents, skills, and abilities of persons with disabilities and to encourage inclusion and empowerment in society. Our school actively took part in the exhibition section of the fest. The students showcased a variety of handmade craft items and products prepared through vocational training activities. The displayed items included beautiful home decorative articles, handmade agarbatti (incense sticks), dhoop sticks, creative art and craft materials, and some homemade food products. These items reflected the hard work, creativity, and skill development of our students. Visitors and officials appreciated the quality and presentation of the products. Meditation Day – 20th December at Aralu Special School

Aralu Special School observed Meditation Day on 20th December with peace, positivity, and mindfulness. The session began with a simple introduction explaining the benefits of meditation in easy and understandable language. ಪರಿಸರ ಸ್ನೇಹಿ ಹೋಳಿ ಬಣ್ಣ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ

Amba organization conducted a computer training program for the teachers of special schools running in different districts of the state, provided computer training to Aralu organization and distributed laptops and computer for the teachers for training special children. On 12/01/2022, we observed the birthday of Swami Vivekananda with simplicity. The teachers of Aralu Special Children's School, through an elephant procession, delivered essential household items along with educational materials to the children's homes. They also ensured the proper execution of the house-building projects entrusted to the children by their parents and teachers.

Empowering Special Children: Distribution of Assistive Devices

Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, Gadag, distributed assistive devices to the visually impaired and hearing-impaired individuals in Davangere district. A total of 10 students from Aralu Special School received assistive devices, enhancing their access to education and participation in various activities. Additionally, 26 students from our school were part of the event, fostering a sense of inclusivity and support for special needs education.

Aralu Special school conducted a Covid vaccination Camp for the Disabled children and their family members. Deputy Tahsildar Manjunath Dasappanavar inaugurated the Vaccination Program in Guidance with the District Disability and Citizenship Empowerment Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, Municipality, Pulageri Someshwara Disabled Association. BS Hiremath, senior health expectation officer of the taluk, said that the vaccine campaign was aimed at facilitating people with disabilities and there were about 150 others took active participation on the camp
