About Us
Aralu Grameena Mattu Nagarabhivruddhi Samsthe
Our organization is committed to offering facilities and knowledge-based learning for mentally challenged children, with our primary objective being the enhancement of the quality of their lives.
Aralu Rural and Urban Development Society, registered under the Society Registration Act 1960 on 17/12/2014, initiated the Aralu Special School for mentally challenged children in Lakshmeshwar in 2015-16, with official department permission. Beginning with 12 special children, the institute has since expanded its services to cater to 34 mentally challenged children and adults, providing free education and vocational training to empower differently-abled individuals and senior citizens in the community.

Lakshmeshwar Aralu Special School celebrated its annual day and teacher appreciation program
Aralu Special School in Lakshmeshwar celebrated its annual day on 27/07/2023, recognizing the achievements of specially-abled children. Dr. S.R. Shirhatti and senior horticulture official Suresh Kumbhar commended the school's efforts in holistic development and emphasized the importance of government support. The event also honored the late Shri Siddeshwar Shreegala and highlighted the school's focus on environmental awareness.04-Apr-2023
Amba organization conducted a computer training program for the special teachers
Amba organization conducted a computer training program for the teachers of special schools running in different districts of the state, provided computer training to Aralu organization and distributed laptops and computer for the teachers for training special children. Mrs. Neelamma Dasappanavar and Mrs. Paravva Ballolli, special teachers of the institute, participated in the training.02-Apr-2023
The moment his Holiness visited Sri Sri Virendra Heggade
Aralu Secial School Staff and Management Board visited Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple and we all met Shri Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, honored him with a letter of appreciation on behalf of the institution. They wished the staff and blessed for the best of the days.26-Dec-2022
Official Visit to Special School by Honorable Directors of Empowerment Departments
Mrs. Latakumari, Honorable Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, Bangalore, along with Mr. Mahantesh Kuri, Honorable District Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, Gadag, visited the special school. They toured the classes and engaged in discussions with the children.03-Dec-2022
The International Day Of Person with Disabilities.
On the occasion of The International Day Of Person with Disabilities organized by Department of Empowerment of Person with Diseabilities and Senior Citizens, Gadag, the children of Aralu Special School participated in various sports and won atotal of 14 awards in the competition.30-Nov-2022

We came to know that CRC, Davangere has been conducting many HRD programmes though online and offline mode to empower the professionals, parents and various stakeholders of the state. In this regard, it is our immense pleasure that they have successfully conducted 3 days CRE programme on ‘Physical Education, recreation, leisure and Sports for persons with Disabilities’ at Aralu Urban & Rural development society, Laxmeshwar, Gadag (Dt). Swami Vivekananda's Birthday Celebration: Aralu Special School Teachers Extend Support to Students'
On 12/01/2022, we observed the birthday of Swami Vivekananda with simplicity. The teachers of Aralu Special Children's School, through an elephant procession, delivered essential household items along with educational materials to the children's homes. They also ensured the proper execution of the house-building projects entrusted to the children by their parents and teachers.01-Jan-2022
New Year Special Puja and Sweets Distribution for Students
A special puja in honor of Lord Ganesha was conducted for the students, ushering in the New Year with divine blessings. The school distributed delicious sweets to the children, adding joy and sweetness to the occasion.03-Aug-2021
Successful COVID-19 Vaccination Drive: 159 Individuals Receive Second Dose at Harmam Kote
On August 3, 2021, the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was successfully administered to 159 individuals at Harmam Kote. The special educators, Pralakar and Sibbanna, played a crucial role in facilitating the vaccination process for the specially-abled children. The event marked a significant step in the ongoing efforts to protect and promote the health of vulnerable populations in the region.17-Mar-2021
Empowering Special Children: Distribution of Assistive Devices
Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens, Gadag, distributed assistive devices to the visually impaired and hearing-impaired individuals in Davangere district. A total of 10 students from Aralu Special School received assistive devices, enhancing their access to education and participation in various activities. Additionally, 26 students from our school were part of the event, fostering a sense of inclusivity and support for special needs education.05-Mar-2021
Organisation of Covid Vaccination camp
Aralu Special school conducted a Covid vaccination Camp for the Disabled children and their family members. Deputy Tahsildar Manjunath Dasappanavar inaugurated the Vaccination Program in Guidance with the District Disability and Citizenship Empowerment Department, Health and Family Welfare Department, Municipality, Pulageri Someshwara Disabled Association. BS Hiremath, senior health expectation officer of the taluk, said that the vaccine campaign was aimed at facilitating people with disabilities and there were about 150 others took active participation on the campMembers
